Saffron farm

Saffron is one of the most precious spices in the world. It is harvested by hand from the Crocus sativus flower, commonly known as the saffron crocus. Iran can be considered as the cradle of the world’s saffron. Almost 90 percent of the world’s saffron is produced in Iran. It's known as the red gold of the desert. It takes about 167 saffron flowers to produce only one gram. That is why saffron is so precious.
